Prime Minister Announces 
Press Secretary

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien is pleased to announce the appointment of Randall McCauley to the position of Press Secretary. 

Mr. McCauley replaces Jennifer Lang, who has served the Prime Minister as Press Secretary and Deputy Press Secretary since 1997. 

Since November of 1993, Mr. McCauley has served as Executive Assistant to the Minister of Transport as well as Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Defence. 

Mr. McCauley earned an Honours Bachelor of Journalism from University of King's College in Halifax in 1989. 

Mr. McCauley's appointment is effective March 13, 2000.
