What we do here at the Weather Office is vital to just about everybody’s lives.

”…the wind if shifting and the speed…we’re doing fine…”

Most importantly we forecast whether the weather is going to be sever or not. We have the pleasure here at the Weather Centre of notifying people – of telling people – when the weather is going to get nasty.

We also work closely with Public Safety Canada. We work with the provincial emergency programs. So when there is a disaster we get an opportunity to work with the people who are helping other people.

There is an opportunity for a really broad spectrum of experiences…whether it is in science of communications or media…has been the most exciting thing for me in my work at Environment Canada.
