[1] On 5 Nov. 1873 Macdonald resigned and
the Governor General invited Mackenzie to form a Government. The Second Ministry assumed
office on 7 Nov. 1873.

13 Feb. 1874, but subsequently rejoined it as Minister of Justice and Attorney General on
19 May 1875.
[13] Scott was appointed Secretary of
State of Canada on 9 Jan. 1874.
