Mover and Seconder of Reply to the Throne Speech Announced

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today announced that MPs Georgette Sheridan (Saskatoon-Humboldt) and Mauril Bélanger (Ottawa-Vanier) will move and second, respectively, the Address in Reply to the Speech from the Throne.

The Speech from the Throne will be delivered by the Governor General in the Senate at approximately 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 27, 1996. The moving and seconding speeches will immediately follow in the House of Commons.
