Regional Assistant Whip Appointed

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today announced the appointment of one regional assistant whip and the reappointment of three others.

John Loney (Edmonton North) is appointed Western Regional Assistant Whip. Reappointed are: Jim Jordan (Leeds--Grenville) as Ontario Regional Assistant Whip; Robert Bertrand (Pontiac--Gatineau--Labelle) as Quebec Regional Assistant Whip; and Diane Brushett (Cumberland--Colchester) as Atlantic Regional Assistant Whip.

The four regional whips will assist Chief Government Whip Don Boudria and Deputy Whip Marlene Catterall in their duties.
