Creation of Liberal Caucus Task Forces June 19, 1996 Ottawa, Ontario Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today announced the appointment of four special Liberal Caucus Task Forces. The Task Forces will review four subjects: commercializing government science research, the impacts of new information technology on citizens and government, policy for an aging population, and aquaculture. The Task Forces will be asked to submit written reports to the Prime Minister after consultations in all regions of Canada. "These issues are important to our government," said the Prime Minister.
