PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCES LIBERAL CAUCUS POLICY COMMITTEE CHAIRS

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today was pleased to announce the Chairs of the Liberal Caucus Policy Committees:

• John Godfrey (Don Valley West) will remain as Chair of the Caucus Social Policy Committee.

• Tony Valeri (Stoney Creek) will remain as Chair of the Caucus Economic Development Committee.

• Aileen Carroll (Barrie-Simcoe-Bradford) will remain as Chair of the Caucus Environment and Sustainable Development Committee.

• Bryon Wilfert (Oak Ridges) becomes Chair of the Caucus Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee.
