Owner-occupied private dwellings by value of dwelling, by provinces and territories (2001 Census)


Definitions

Private dwelling: Refers to a separate set of living quarters with a private entrance either from outside or from a hallway or other common area inside the building.

An occupied private dwelling is occupied by usual residents as opposed to foreign or temporary residents. The category for owner-occupied private dwellings does not include dwellings situated on farms. Owner-occupied dwellings could be situated on rented or leased land or be part of a condominium.

Value of dwelling: Refers to the dollar amount expected by the owner if the dwelling were to be sold.
