- The capacity utilization rates are seasonally adjusted by the fact that the measures of output used in the production of the rates of capacity use are the measures of real gross domestic product (GDP) at factor cost, seasonally adjusted, by industry.
- The capacity utilization rate is the percentage of total capacity (maximum production) at which an industry is operating.
- North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), 2002.
1. Total industrial combines the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes 113, 21, 2211, 23 and 31-33.
2. Mining combines the NAICS codes 212 and 213.
3. Textiles combines the NAICS codes 313 and 314.
