Pursuant to subsection 2(4) of the Customs Act1 and subsections 12(1) and (2) of the Canada Border Services Agency Act2, the delegations to persons authorized to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness under the provisions of the Customs Act are hereby amended in accordance with the attached Schedule.
This document amends the “AUTHORIZATION TO EXERCISE POWERS OR PERFORM DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT” instrument dated April 1, 2010.

1. The authorization to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness under subsection 24(2) of the Customs Act, found at page 36 of the “AUTHORIZATION TO EXERCISE POWERS OR PERFORM DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT”, is replaced with the following:
Authority to amend, suspend, renew, cancel or reinstate a sufferance warehouse licence.
2. The authorization to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness under subsection 24(2) of the Customs Act, found at page 37 of the “AUTHORIZATION TO EXERCISE POWERS OR PERFORM DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT”, is replaced with the following:
Authority to amend, suspend, renew, cancel or reinstate a duty free shop licence.
