The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) works to ensure our country's security and prosperity by managing the access of people and goods to and from Canada.

Each year, the CBSA's officers welcome over 200,000 immigrants and refugees, process more than 97 million travellers and over 12 million commercial releases, collect several billion dollars' worth of duties and taxes and administer import and export requirements for some 30,000 animals and plants. A CBSA officer's work also includes using the latest technology and techniques to detect illegal drugs, prohibited firearms and harmful pests or diseases, and to stop them from entering our country.
