1 Services of a regulatory nature (the fee is set by regulation for a service provided by or on behalf of Her Majesty in Right of Canada to users of the service) include, for instance, revenues earned from enrolment in facilitated border programs such as NEXUS and Free and Secure Trade, and from food inspection fees.

2 Services of a non-regulatory nature include, for instance, detector dog training services, contractual arrangements for the provision of new and enhanced non-core border management services and the collection of taxes on behalf of the provinces.
