Go back in time to discover the history of old-style Christmases in an opulent Grande Allée residence. Relive the holiday atmosphere by actively taking part in historic games that blend the enchantment and magic of Christmas. ABRAHAM AND COMPANY
Plunge into the very heart of the 17th century as you enter the home of Abraham Martin to learn about family life in New France. You will get to handle all kinds of period items, hum old tunes, have fun with the Martin children’s toys. Accessories: music and historic objects.
AN UNUSUAL HOUSE
In the evocative setting of a Martello Tower, experience family life as it was in of the late 19th century. Discover the ancestors of our daily objects and relive past history through an amusing timeline. Accessories: tower discovery rally, video and period objects.
THE ARCHAEOLOGIST
Get initiated to the profession of archaeologist. Go on a real dig. Investigate and answer our archaeological quiz. Accessories: trowels, sieve, artefacts and crockery.

Allow us to guide you through an era not so far removed when the devil ruled supreme, and discover the mysteries of the Plains of Abraham during the New France period. Tools: period objects and historic site.
LOUIS ROUER DE VILLERAY, A NEW FRANCE NOBLE
Leap back to the New France period and become the employees of nobleman Louis Rouer de Villeray. Learn how to barter with Amerindians and identify animal tracks and furs. Be at the centre of the action and participate in games to discover the objects, daily life and trades of New France. Accessories: period setting, furs and barter items.
THE ARCHAEOLOGIST
Get initiated to the profession or archaeologist. Discover the archaeologist’s tools for searching and restoring. Attend the interactive instructions on excavation. Go on a real dig. Accessories : quiz, scale model, actual excavation, sieving and cleaning.
ABRAHAM’S FAMILY IN YOUR CLASSROOM
Welcome Marguerite and Abraham Martin, the famous farmer who gave his name to the Plains of Abraham. Become a member of their family as they turn you into a New France settler. All the students will wear costumes to learn about the trades of that era. Accessories: New France style games, period costumes, images and objects.

THE GREAT MARCH OF THE 20TH CENTURY
Go back in time during the 20th century with joe Malon, hockey star player and employee at the Ross Rifle Factory on the Plains of Abraham. Discover on foot, how this land filled with history is closely linked to the events that shaped the past century (World Wars, Great Depression, baby-boom). Accessories: Interactive White Board (IWB), quiz and pictures.
THE MILITARY (THE BATTLES OF THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM)
Participate in the military training under the command of General Wolfe and General Montcalm : analysis of the military strategies used in 1759 and 1760, theatrical performance and parade on the battle sites (weather permitting). Accessories : interactive whiteboard (IWB), wall map of the area in 1759-1760, regimental flags, drums, officers’ uniforms and vests displaying the armies’ respective colours.
SOLDIER FOR A DAY AT THE MARTELLO TOWER
Participate in the defence of Quebec City by occupying the Martello Tower and experiencing life in a garrison. Turn back the time to 1812 and be on the alert as you experience the hard life of a gunner. Accessories : guns, cannons, ammunitions and furniture of the period.
THE SNOWSHOER
With an early 20th Century snowshoer, put on your caps and mittens to discover the great historical events that marked the Plains of Abraham: the Quebec Bulldogs’ conquest of the Stanley Cup, World War One and Two, the Great Depression of the 1930’s, and lots more. This is a one-of-a-kind recreational activity that will make you shiver with delight. Accessories: traditional snowshoes, arrowhead sashes and hot chocolate.

THE BESIEGED TOWER
Take the Martello Tower by storm as you become a 19th century soldier, experience the military life of the period, and be in top form for all kinds of military manoeuvres. Accessories: guns, wooden horse, cannon and period items.
LEGENDS AND MYSTERIES ON THE PLAINS OF ABRAHM
(HALLOWEEN ACTIVITY)
If you’re not afraid of your own shadow, come and shed light on the Martello Tower mystery and stroll through the fabulous haunted labyrinth. Relive age-old stories and discover the punishment dealt to criminals during that period. An enigmatic and gloomy atmosphere. Accessories: period items and haunted labyrinth.
ODYSSEY : A JOURNEY THROUGH HISTORY ON THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM
Set course for multimedia exhibition unique to Quebec City and relive the rich, colourful past of the Plains of Abraham, the cradle of Canadian history. Embark on a virtual 400-year journey with historical figures at your side, a journey ranging from the birth of New France to the park’s creation, through the battles of the Plains of Abraham and Sainte-Foy. Some 20 uniforms associated with the battles complete this exhibition. Supervised self-guided tour. Accessories: head phones, special effects, artefacts, scale models, anecdotes, animatronic character, video and rally.
THE ARCHAEOLOGIST
Attend this interactive and detailed presentation explaining the various aspects of the archaeologist’s profession: from the visual inspection to the inventory via excavations and artefact cleaning. Accessories: excavation site, sieve, archaeological quiz and scale model.
MYTHS, LEGENDS AND TALES IN YOUR CLASSROOM
Dive into the unreal world of myths and legends and fall under the spell of timeless tales. In the company of our legendary storyteller Abraham Martin, or his wife Marguerite, become an expert in myths, legends and tales. Accessories: strange objects, costume, lantern and ballot cards.
1759 : FROM THE WARPATH TO THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM
Via the Internet, plunge deep into the battle of the Plains of Abraham and the preparations that led to it. Relive, alongside the French, British, Canadians and Amerindians, the ups and downs of a fight to the finish for the conquest of North America, a landmark in the military history of this country. A total of 67 interactive learning activities (illustrated narratives, interactive maps and games, videos, evolutionary comic strips, period music, etc.).
