Appendix A: Map of 3 km movement-restricted perimeters placed around IP#1/IP#1a and IP#2

A red star represents the index premises, which marks the center of the surveillance areas. Two orange circles, each with a star (an index premises) at the center, overlap each other. These circles represent the 3 kilometre area that was under surveillance. One circle represents IP#1/IP#1a, and the other circle represents IP#2. The northwestern edge of the more northern of the two orange circles touches the red line, representing the Trans-Canada Highway. This red line travels diagonally downward from the West (left) and the Surrey and Langley district of B.C.; to the East (right) dipping down along the Abbotsford, B.C. area, before travelling diagonally upward and eastward toward the Vedder River Bridge and Chilliwack, B.C. Slightly North (above) of this red line is a winding thick blue line, which is the Fraser River, following the same shape, East to West. Along the northern edge of the river is another flowing red line, representing the Lougheed highway.

Quarantined poultry premises are represented within the orange circles and surrounding area of the Fraser Valley between Langley and Abbotsford, British Columbia, along the Trans Canada Highway. These premises include broiler, broiler breeder, empty, layer, specialty, and turkey farms.

A full map of British Columbia is inset to the right of this image, with the 3-kilometre surveillance area highlighted in red to show the movement-restricted areas relative to the province, as well as their position relative to Alberta (to the far right) and the United States (Washington State just below the border line).
