Simplified Formats Hierarchy of Formats/Decision Tree (B.01.455)

This images shows the three levels of the Simplified Format, Hierarchy of Formats/Decision Tree.

Level 1 shoes two different Nutrition Fact Table formats:

• Simplified Standard
• Bilingual Simplified Standard

The steps for Level 1 are:

1. Manufacturer may choose format 5 or 6.
2. Within desired format, choose largest format that will fit on 15% ADS and 1 continuous surface.
3. All 1^st level options must be exhausted before proceeding to next level.

Level two shows one Nutrition Fact Table format:

• Bilingual Simplified Horizontal

The steps for Level 2 are:

1. Choose largest version of format that will fit on 15% ADS and 1 continuous surface.
2. All 2^nd level options must be exhausted before proceeding to next level.

Level 3 shows three different Nutrition Fact Tables:

• Bilingual Simplified Standard
• Bilingual Simplified Horizontal
• Simplified Linear or Alternate Methods of Presentation (Tags, Package Inserts, Inner Labels, Overwraps or Collars)

For package inserts and inner labels, the outer label must indicate where to find the NFT.

The stops for Level 3 are:

• May choose any format, any version.
