Chapter 10 Annex I-2

Unmarked, Un-stamped Tamper Evident Sealed Meat Shipments: Diagram

This is a flow chart that shows a box in the top centre that says "meat product" and that box leads to three different boxes below it. The box on the left says "Meat Inspection Legend applied directly (stamped or branded or applied to sealed bag)" and "Bulk/shipping container fully labelled with mandatory information". The box in the centre says "Meat Inspection Legend not applied directly (unstamped)". The box to its right says "Meat Inspection Legend may or not be directly applied (Product for further processing)".

The box that says "Meat Inspection Legend applied directly (stamped or branded or applied to sealed bag) Bulk/shipping container fully labelled with mandatory information", leads to a box that says "Marked meat product (unrestricted movement)".

The box that says "Meat Inspection Legend not directly applied (unstamped)", meaning the product is unstamped, leads to three different boxes. The first box says "breast tag", which if applied leads to another box that says "marked meat product (unrestricted movement)". The second box says if the product is "retail labelled in tamper evident containers", this leads to another box that says "marked meat product (unrestricted movement)". The third box indicates "bulk/shipping container, fully labelled with all mandatory information", which leads to two different boxes. The first box says if the bulk/shipping container is then tamper evident sealed and this leads to a box that says a marked meat product has unrestricted movement. The second box says if the bulk/shipping container is "not tamper evident sealed", leading to a box that says "product is from Canada or other countries", which leads to another box that says "unstamped meat product, may be shipped from a registered establishment to any destination, may only enter another registered establishment or Canada if shipped directly from another registered establishment in a sealed transport container".

The box that says "Meat Inspection Legend may or not be directly applied (Product for further processing)", leads to a box that says the product can be put in a "bulk/shipping container which bears no or only partial mandatory labelling information". This box leads to the box that says "Canadian or United States product only", which points to a box that says "unmarked meat product, may be shipped from a registered establishment in a transport or bulk/shipping container sealed with an official seal and documents."
