Map two illustrates the areas of the world that have similar climates to the Boreal Cordillera Canadian ecozone occupying the southern Yukon and northern half of British Columbia. Areas of similar climate include western Russia, northern China, the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, southern tip of Brazil, northwest United States, Alaska, central Canada, an area in north-western Ontario surrounding the Great Lakes, and the Yukon.
