Map seven illustrates the areas of the world that have similar climates to the Montane Cordillera ecozone which stretches from north-central British Columbia south to the United States border. Areas of similar climate include Scandinavia, southern United Kingdom, Europe, western Russia, western China, southern Australia, south tip of Africa, southern Brazil, north-western United States, areas south of the Great Lakes in the United States, and the southern Canadian prairies.
