Map nine illustrates the areas of the world that have similar climates to the Pacific Maritime Canadian ecozone which includes the land bordering Canada's Pacific Coast, the Coast Mountains, B.C.’s marine islands, plus a small corner of south-western Yukon. Areas with similar climate include the United Kingdom, western and central Europe, Scandinavia, southern Australia, New Zealand, southern coast of Brazil, mid-western United States near Chicago and Detroit, and the eastern coasts of the United States and Canada.
