Sampling Plan for Seed Potato Shipments under the Seed Potato Quality Management Program Destined for the United States Not Intended for Re-certification as Seed: Seed Potato Quality Management Program

This flowchart is a sampling plan for seed potato shipments under the Seed Potato quality Management Program destined for the United States not intended for re-certification as seed.

For zero to twenty metric tonnes graded per lot, random sample zero point five percent, or one thousand tubers; if the sample meets the standard shipping may proceed.

If the sample does not meet the standard, increase the sample size to a maximum of two thousand tubers, or proceed to re-grade.

If the sample again does not meet the standard the shipment must be re-graded and sampled as for the first zero to twenty hundred metric tonne.

Once the initial zero to twenty metric tonnes have met the standard, for each subsequent twenty metric tonnes graded per lot, or portion thereof, random sample zero point one percent or two hundred fifty tubers.

If the sample meets the standard, shipping may proceed.

If the sample does not meet the standard proceed to increase sample size to a maximum of two thousand tubers, or proceed to re-grade and sample as for the first zero to twenty metric tonnes.
