The title of the flow chart is "Diagram of Visual Inspection Procedure". At the top of the flow chart itself is "INSPECTION", which leads to "overview inspection". Next is the question "wet, stained, damaged cases"? If the answer is "yes", this leads to "detain inspection lot".
If the answer is "no", this leads to "inspection", and then "sampling (minimum 40 cases)". After this is "sample size of 200 containers". At this point, if there are "no serious defects", then "permit distribution of inspection lot". However, if there are "one of more serious defects", then "detain inspection lot".
Note: for cursory/visual inspection, a magnifying glass of at least five times must be available, as well as appropriate lighting of 100 foot candles or 1000 lux.
