Map one illustrates the areas of the world that have similar climates to the Atlantic Maritime Canadian ecozone which is comprised of the Atlantic Provinces. Areas with similar climates included Europe, United Kingdom, Northern Japan, Southern Australia, New Zealand, southern Brazil, the northeast United States and the northwest coast of British Columbia.
