Map five illustrates the areas of the world that have similar climates to the Hudson Plains Canadian ecozone which covers north-eastern Manitoba, and northern Ontario. Areas of similar climate include Norway, Sweden, Finland, western Russia and small areas of eastern Russia, northern China, United Kingdom, Europe, north-eastern United States and Alaska.
