Map ten illustrates the areas of the world that have similar climates to the Prairies Canadian ecozone which includes parts of the Interior Plains of Canada, which are a northern extension of the Great Plains of North America. Areas with similar climate include areas throughout Europe, Russia, China, southern Australia, southern Brazil coast, central areas of the United States, Yukon and Northwest Territories and small portions of Alaska.
