Belledune Village of Belledune The village Web site covers all aspects of life in Belledune. Information on the municipal government consists of photographs and profiles of the mayor and councilors, council minutes from 2001 to the present, individual council reports or "activity reports" from councilors, and their council expenses for the past two years. Bouctouche Town of Bouctouche The Municipality section of Bouctouche's Web site lists the members of Municipal Council and their meeting schedule, information about municipal facilities and services, and the current tax rate. Campbellton Campbellton This city's Web site has a welcome message from the mayor and the city's tourism coordinator. The focus is on tourism. Caraquet Ville de Caraquet The government information available on the Caraquet Web site consists of a list of Councilors with their phone numbers, telephone numbers for government offices and cultural facilities, an online form for communicating with the government, and a calendar of public events. Links to 2000 and 2001 issues of a news bulletin for citizens called: "Coup d'oeil Municipal" are functioning. Centre Péninsule Centre Péninsule This regional site has a brief community profile ans contact information for the villages of Inkerman, Paquetville and St. Isidore. Contact information is also provided for the two députés of the region. There are also photographs and descriptions of local tourist attractions, and links to community and business sites. Dieppe Town of Dieppe The "Virtual City Hall" portion of this town's Web site has photos of Councillors, contact information, a ward map, organizational chart, telephone directory, and brief information on municipal services. "Public Notices" includes invitations to tender, notices of road work and service interruptions, and the agenda for upcoming council meetings with a list of the members of Commissions and Committees of Dieppe and the Greater Moncton area of which it is a part. Municipal regulations are not yet available. A brief community profile is also available with information on recreational and cultural facilities. Edmunsdton Ville d'Edmundston This new site is in French only at the moment. It has photographs and contact information for City Councillors, a map of the municipal wards, the agenda of the last council meeting and minutes from meetings from Sept. 2001 on. The municipal calendar was available only for the past month. The Strategic Plan, budget documents, and By-law #1 on the municipality's organization and procedures are in PDF format. There are online forms for questions, press releases, information on the Madawaska Region, and links to a directory of services such as the library, airport, firefighting and police, etc. with contact information, contacts for obtaining permits, the garbage collection schedule, information on water testing, treatment and conservation, and the electricity and water rates. This is a large, irregularly updated site made confusing by a split screen format too large for some monitors, the use of a variety of font styles and sizes, and unclear organization with many links repeated. Fredericton City of Fredericton Government information on this site includes municipal job postings, selected city forms and applications in Word and WordPerfect format, closing dates for current tenders, quotations and proposals, a list of city by-laws and frequently asked questions about them, the city's Corporate Strategic Plan and mission statement, biographical information of Council members, questions and answers on how municipal government works and how to get involved, schedule of Council meetings, a list of Council Standing Committees, members, and meeting dates, appointments to boards, commissions and committees, a city telephone, fax and email directory, information on city facilities, programs and services, bus fares and schedules, and population and workforce statistics. The "Village News" section has an issue of "Council News" reporting issues arising from a Council meeting a year ago (Aug. 2001). Grand Bay-Westfield Grand Bay-Westfield The latest public notices are featured on the home page of this municipal site. The "Town Hall" section has city Council meeting dates, agendas, and minutes, from July 1997 on, selected by-laws in Microsoft Word format, information on building permits and a downloadable application form, a summary of the current budget, an email and phone directory of city staff and Council, and several issues of the Council newsletter. Miramichi Miramichi (Gateway Miramichi) This is a gateway site to the city and region of Miramichi. The "Government" section links to the Miramichi Region Development Corporation site which has brief demographic information and explains their business counseling services, and to the Miramichi police force page with contact information, mission statement, statement of core values, organizational structure, corporate goals, and a brief description of community-based policing and their zero tolerance programs. New Maryland New Maryland Municipal government information on this site includes details on waste disposal, recycling, water and sewer fees, and the tax rate. Council members are listed with contact information including e-mail addresses. There is also a phone directory for the village's services and programs. By-laws are listed, but not available online. They can be received by e-mail, on request. The events calendar includes public information and council meetings. Council minutes are available from Nov. 2001 on and the agenda for the most recent meeting. Quispamsis Quispamsis This site has some quality content. Several bylaws are available in full text, the meeting schedule and minutes from 1998 on are posted for the Town Council and the Planning Advisory Committee. The Recreation Services Dept. has information on renting facilities, summer openings, courses offered, and the town's parks and trails. Financial information provided includes the latest general operating fund budget and the auditor's report from 1998. Rothesay Rothesay The stated purpose of this Web site is to increase the flow of information to residents and this site does a good job of it. Posted are town council meeting minutes from 1999 on, and an index of town bylaws with selected bylaws available online in .pdf format, the garbage collection schedule, and to come: the water and sewage rates. There is an online form for payment of utility bills. Complete contact information is provided for the Mayor and councillors as well as a telephone directory. There is a brief introduction to the new town plan in the works and an online email form for submitting comments. Other information includes the annual budget, community notices, the town's emergency preparedness plan, operations and administrative policies, current capital works projects, and information on the recreational programs and services.
