Terrestrial Globe, W.C. Chewett & Co., lith, Toronto, in the 1860s

This may not have been the first, but it was certainly one of the first globes manufactured in Canada. Chewett began a career in geographic map publishing around 1856, and his company played a major role in the development of map publishing in Canada.
