Celebrating Dayal Kaur Khalsa

The End Papers

With the publication of her third book, Sleepers, Khalsa started to illustrate the inside covers of her books, adding a very personal touch. For each book, she chose a distinctive design which was used as the theme to illustrate the endpapers and introduce the story. Beyond the purely decorative aspect of the work, these illustrations allowed Khalsa to use her imagination, her special humor and her great talent as an illustrator freely.
