The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television promotes the achievements and talents of artists and technicians within the Canadian television industry with the annual Gemini awards. Oscar Peterson recieved his first Gemini award in 1993 for Best Original Music Score for the film In the Key of Oscar. 1
