Lalonde hockey card, 1911-1912, artist unknown Edouard Lalonde, National Team, No. 97, 1911, artist unknown Edouard “Newsy” Lalonde (1887-1971) was voted the best Canadian lacrosse player of the Half Century in 1950 and was one of the early stars of the National Hockey League. These cigarette cards were part of sets of lacrosse and hockey stars issued by the Imperial Tobacco Co. of Canada and offered as free prizes in the packages of their tobacco products. |
