Ferguson Jenkins
Ferguson Jenkins, pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, in action against the Montreal Expos, 19 September 1970, by Peter Brosseau

A remarkable athlete, Ferguson Jenkins (born 1943) had an illustrious career of nineteen seasons as one of the top baseball pitchers in the Major Leagues during the 1960s and 1970s. He was the first Canadian to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The photo catches Jenkins in a game against the second-year Montreal Expos, which he would win to reach the prestigious twentieth-win plateau for the fourth year in a row.
