Tom Longboat
Tom Longboat: the Canadian runner, 22 April 1907, by Charles A. Aylett

Tom Longboat (1886-1949), an Onondaga, was one of the premier marathon runners in the world in the decade preceding the First World War. Photographer Charles A. Aylett captured the runner and his trophies after his famous win at the 1907 Boston Marathon, which made Longboat a household name in Canada. As a professional, he went on to numerous victories in long distance races.
