HISTORY ON THE SCREEN

National Archives of Canada participation in CBC history series and launch of new Web products

 

OTTAWA, September 26, 2000 --  The National Archives of Canada (NA) is hosting an event to mark the participation of its employees in the CBC television series Canada: a People’s History and to launch its newest Web products, Tracing the History of New France and Real Stories: a Past in miniatures.

This special event will provide the public an opportunity to see excerpts of the series, which will be broadcast for the first time later in October, and to discover more about these exciting new multimedia products in the company of the experts who designed and produced them. Among the presenters is Gene Allen, Senior Producer and Director of Research for the CBC series, who will speak about the collaboration between the CBC and the NA.
