March Break: Books, Movies and Fun at the National Library of Canada

Ottawa, February 28, 2002  -  The National Library of Canada, in cooperation with La Fête, is presenting a series of films, exhibits, demonstrations and prizes for children ages 5 to 12, from March 4 to 15, 2002, in the National Library Auditorium.

During the March break, adventure films by renowned producer Rock Demers, under the umbrella title Tales for All, will be shown free of charge, either in English or French, together with an exhibition of related novels and posters. These movies, The Hidden Fortress and The Clean Machine, are winners of many prestigious awards around the world and will delight kids of all ages.

La Fête, founded in 1980, is a company dedicated to developing, producing and distributing non-violent children and family films, as well as documentaries and television programs. Their films enjoy a worldwide reputation for exceptional quality.

At 1:30 p.m. in the National Library’s auditorium, children of all ages can enjoy The Hidden Fortress, on March 5 and March 11 (French version on March 4 and March 12), and The Clean Machine, on March 14 (French version on March 8).

In addition, there will be a display of the exciting Web site www.izzigo.com/index.html as well as attendance prizes on March 11 and 12 from noon until 4:00 p.m. For further information or to reserve for groups of 10 or more, call 613-992-9988.
