Lac La Ronge Indian Band [Candle Lake]

The parties agreed that inquiries into these two claims would proceed jointly in view of the similarity of the issues raised about to the principles governing the establishment of an Indian reserve. A community session was held in Lac La Ronge on July 31, 1995, and oral submissions were scheduled for March 5, 1996. However, at the request of the Lac La Ronge Band, inquiries into these claims were discontinued and closed pending further notice from the Band.
