Wednesday, October 26, 2005: The Gomery Commission Phase I Report will be delivered to the Governor in Council at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2005.

A media lockup will be held at Victoria Hall, Bytown Pavilion, 111 Sussex Drive (the former Ottawa City Hall) beginning at 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2005.

Entry is restricted to journalists accredited through the Parliamentary Press Gallery.

Statement by Mr. Justice Gomery

Mr. Justice John H. Gomery, Commissioner of the Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities will make a public statement at approximately 10:45 a.m. on November 1, 2005, in the Amphitheatre at the Bytown Pavilion.

Mr. Justice Gomery will deliver a prepared statement but will not take media questions. Documents will be made available on site and will be posted on line immediately after release.
