Margot Filipenko
Dr. Margot Filipenko works as the Teaching Programs Coordinator in the UBC Teacher Education Program, Faculty of Education. She is a faculty member in the Department of Language and Literacy Education and Co-Director of the Vancouver Children’s Literature Roundtable. Deborah Lee

Previous to her current position, she was the Indigenous Studies Portal Librarian for four years (also at the U of S) and Reference Librarian at Library and Archives Canada for seven years. Deborah has presented widely, at both national and international conferences.

Nicole Mardis is a PhD student and Canada Graduate Scholar in the department of Sociology at McGill University. She has a BA in Sociology (2000), a Bachelor of Commerce Honors (2005) in Entrepreneurship and the Management of organizations, and an MA in sociology (2009). Her doctoral research focuses on the emergence and structure of inter-organizational problem solving networks.

Jo-Anne Naslund currently works as an Education Librarian in the Education Library at the University of British Columbia. She has worked as a teacher and teacher-librarian in schools in Alberta, British Columbia and Melbourne, Australia. Her research interests focus on information literacy, teacher education, school libraries together with Canadian children’s literature and adolescent reading interests. She has authored library publications and taught library courses in teacher-librarianship at the Universities of Melbourne, Alberta and British Columbia. Her educational background is a BA, BEd, MEd. And MLIS.

Andrew Nicholson is the GIS/Data Librarian at the University of Toronto Mississauga. He previously held similar positions at the University of Oregon and Trent University.

Olga Perkovic
After working four years as a Liaison Librarian for departments such as Anthropology and History, Olga began her new position as the Research and Advanced Studies Librarian in September 2011. In this role, Olga is working to enhance and supplement research and instructional activities to graduate students, faculty and advanced level researchers.
