Back to Politics	J.L. Ralston Though he spent most of his political career representing Nova Scotia, Ralston was elected by acclamation in Prince County in 1940. Serving first as Minister of Finance, he was Mackenzie King's Minister of Defence, until they had a falling out over conscription policy 1944.
