A.E. Rome's Award Winning Farmyard

Before the advent of large scale mechanized farming, farmers would do a little bit of everything. A large vegetable garden, combined with pig and chicken barns, and cattle would provide most of the sustenance that a family required. Excess animals, butter, and grains would be traded at the store for items that could not be produced at home.
