Scott Stirling (Captain Canada 2)

Scott Stirling was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, in 1951. Following his graduation from King’s College in Halifax in 1969, he began his career in broadcasting.
In 1979 he and his father, Geoffrey Stirling, launched the "Captain Newfoundland" comic strip (which was scripted by the Stirlings and drawn by Marvel Comics artist Dan Bulanadi). Among the many heroes introduced in the strip was the national superhero Captain Canada. In addition to his work in comics, Stirling has been very active in the communications field. Today, he is the president and CEO of Stirling Communications International (NTV, OZ FM, Stirling Press, The Newfoundland Herald).
