Federal identifier for the  National Library of Canada

Roy Papers: Gabrielle Roy has turned over her collection of manuscripts, unpublished works, early articles, letters, and other memorabilia to the National Library in Ottawa.

Roy wrote for several newspapers and magazines in Quebec and France from 1937 to 1945. She achieved international literary celebrity with her novel Bonheur d'occasion/The Tin Flute, published in 1945. Her subsequent stories and novels have been translated into several languages.
