I’m not sure that a veterinary medicine license will really do the trick here. While often touted as being a ‘miracle cure’ by many veterinarians, there is only so much good a thermometer up the bum can really do. The problem here is that these animals can actually TALK. Is Pooh some kind of idiot savant? Is any existing medical speciality really geared up to diagnose talking animals? And if not, why not?!
I think there’s a good case to be made for getting funding to research this whole area a bit further, so that we have suitably trained practitioners for when the problem arises in the future. I mean, couldn’t we skimp on revealing the genetic data that deals with pinky toenails in order to fund this vital avenue of human/animal discovery?
