I thought your artical was hilarious and I thoughorly enjoyed it. I found the letters written to you however almost more funny. It is unbelievable to me how many people commented that your analysis was written with 'public funds' and that you were 'wasting valuable medical time'. Don't people realize that even doctors have a personal life too? That once in awhile we get to go home, read the paper, watch tv, get on the net, or write a funny artical? That we have a life outside of work? No other proffession gets blasted for 'Wasting valuable waitressing time' for example. The problem is not that psychologists are finding diagnosable mental illness in normal behavior, the problem is that people seem to need to find a 'hidden agenda' in things that are just meant to entertain. Relax. Have fun. Play nice. Laugh a little.
