Some e-letter authors are clearly suffering from humor deficit disorder :). The article reminded me of a collection of essays written by Frederick Crews and published in his book, The Pooh Perplex. Crews was a professor of English at UC Berkeley and used the Winnie the Pooh stories (and drawings) to spoof styles of literary criticism. Highly recommended for any serious scholar of Winnie the Pooh.
