Cancer information service launched

Canadian Medical Association Journal 1996; 155: 1721
The Canadian Cancer Society expects its new toll-free information line will handle about 70 000 calls in its first year from cancer patients, their families and health care professionals seeking information. The Cancer Information Service (888 939-3333) will address issues of prevention, detection, treatment and community resources in both official languages.
