Drug companies appear to have been listening when researchers began complaining about their lack of participation in the MRC/PMAC Health Program, for the 30-month-old project appears to have taken on new life. It is designed to increase collaboration between university and pharmaceutical industry researchers by directing more of the industry's growing investment in Canada through the MRC's peer-review process. By mid-May, program commitments stood at $60 million.

Les sociétés pharmaceutiques semblent avoir été à l'écoute lorsque les chercheurs ont commencé à se plaindre qu'elles ne participaient pas assez au Programme de la santé CRM/ACIM, car ce projet qui a 30 mois semble avoir repris vie. Il vise à resserrer la collaboration entre les chercheurs universitaires et ceux de l'industrie pharmaceutique en faisant passer par un mécanisme d'examen critique par les pairs du CRM l'investissement croissant que fait l'industrie au Canada.
