Office of Research Services

The Office of Research Services (ORS) is the first point of contact for faculty members who are seeking information and support for their research. This team provides expert advice and support in the following research administration functions: 

 

• providing researchers with access to information on funding programs of the major national and provincial granting agencies, as well as less prominent funding sources
  
  
• serving as a liaison with all major funding agencies, keeping up-to-date and advising researchers of changes in funding programs, associated guidelines and application procedures, as well as new directions and initiatives
  
  
• maintaining a list of current research funding sources
  
  
• assisting researchers in the preparation of funding proposals
  
  
• the director and assistant directors sign all research applications on behalf of the university acknowledging that the institution agrees to administer funding
