Special Accommodation
All applicants must indicate in their initial contact with the College if they are requesting special accommodation to write their jurisprudence or registration examinations because of a physical or mental condition or disorder, a learning disability, or other reason.
In the case of the registration examinations, requests for special accommodation and supporting documents must be submitted in writing to the College before the application deadline date of your preferred examination sitting. Special accommodation requests received by the College after the Deadline to Apply date will result in the request being denied for that exam sitting.
The written request should include:
- the nature of the accommodation required (e.g., extra time, technological assistance, a separate room)
- recent supporting documentation, including a medical report from a health care provider that presents detailed information about the nature of the condition, a diagnosis and prognosis, and why the condition makes the accommodation necessary. (The College may request additional information if the documentation is deemed incomplete.)
The same rules apply for applicants requesting special accommodation for the jurisprudence examination. However, because it is an online exam that can be written at any time during the application process, there is no specified deadline for requesting special accommodation.
Applicants requesting special accommodation for the jurisprudence exam are strongly encouraged to contact the College and submit their request as early as possible.
