A new webcast, Social Media: Reflect Before You Post, is now available.

The 15-minute webcast uses scenarios that show nurses how to use College practice standards and reflective questions to assess situations before engaging in any social media activity.

The scenarios include:

• • receiving "friend" invitations from clients
  • posting pictures
  • promoting health initiatives or for client education
  • complaining about colleagues or employers, and
  • professional networking.  

Nurses are guided through relevant practice standards that discuss regulatory considerations such as privacy, ethical behaviour, professionalism and therapeutic nurse-client relationships.
