Yasuyuki Nakamura is a postdoctoral researcher of the Fujukan, Museum of the University of the Ryukyus. He received his degree (PhD) from University of the Ryukyus in historical biology. His current research focuses on the biogeography of amphibians, squamate reptiles, and mammals of the Ryukyus and other Japanese islands with special reference to human impacts on those animals as inferred from Late Quaternary fossils and archeological remains.
