Classroom Approach:
Using audio tapes, pictures, anecdotes and samples of her own work, Bannerman discusses and demonstrates how these devices can be used to stimulate the writing process. Students are also encouraged to look at their own lives and to translate their personal experiences into poetry. Sessions can also include time for students to write and read their work using tapes and pictures to encourage the use of the imagination.
